Application Process:

Heart of a Lion Rescue takes great pride in matching the perfect family with the perfect pet. Our application may be slightly different from what you have seen from other rescues, but that is because we are different. We take in cats of all ages, including a large number of orphaned newborns ("bottle babies") who will be ready to go home between 8-10 weeks of age. If we do not have any cats/kittens ready for adoption at the time of your application, it may be set as pending until we find a potential match. Sometimes this can take time, but we believe the best things in life are worth waiting for.

• Please complete the adoption application below in GOOGLE CHROME ONLY. Your application is submitted when you click "Submit" and get the confirmation page. Please note, if you do not get a confirmation that your application has been submitted, make sure you have filled in all applicable sections and don't have an error message. If you have any trouble completing the application online, please contact us at heartofalionrescue@yahoo.com for a PDF version that may be completed manually and emailed or mailed to us.

•  Once we have a potential match, we will call you for a phone interview and pre-approve you for adoption.  In the event we receive multiple applications on a specific kitty, we will evaluate and determine which home is best suited for him or her. If your application does not meet our requirements for adoption, you will be notified via email.

•  After you are pre-approved for adoption, we will set up a time for you to meet your match. If the foster and potential adopter agree that it's a is a good fit, you can usually take your new baby home that same day!
